La organización Somos Familia fue fundada en el 2007 por dos mamás del Este de la Bahía (del Área de la Bahía de San Francisco) que tienen hijos gay y bisexuales con el fin de conectarse con otras familias. Junto a un grupo de voluntaries y empleades de diferentes generaciones, establecimos la siguiente misión y visión.
Somos Familia was founded by two moms from the East Bay (San Francisco Bay Area) with Latino gay and bisexual sons in 2007 to reach out to other families. With an all-volunteer group of different generations we established the following mission and vision.
Pacific Center for Human Growth fue fundado en 1973, es el centro LGBTQIA + más antiguo del Área de la Bahía, el tercero más antiguo de la nación, y opera la única clínica de salud mental de escala móvil para personas LGBTQIA + y QTBIPOC y sus familias en el condado de Alameda.
Founded in 1973, Pacific Center for Human Growth is the oldest LGBTQIA+ center in the Bay Area, the third oldest in the nation, and operates the only sliding scale mental health clinic for LGBTQIA+ and QTBIPOC people and their families in Alameda County.
